James M. Schwab

President / Owner

Jim has over 25 years of solution-focused experience developing and deploying information technology across many industries that include Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Health Care, Automotive, Child & Day Care, RFID, and Web Design.

Prior to starting his own company, Jim served as the Director of Sales for LeanLogistics, a leading provider of On-Demand Transportation Management Systems (TMS). He was responsible for leading the East Coast sales effort and generating national sales for enterprise customers with a specific focus on the retail vertical.

Formerly, Jim directed the WorldWide Trade Logistics product efforts at the WorldWide Retail Exchange (now known as Agentrics) in Alexandria, VA, which provides B2B solutions to over 60 of the world’s largest retailers and suppliers. He introduced solutions for supply chain visibility, global trade compliance, landed cost analyses, and logistics management.

At NextLinx (since acquired by Management Dynamics), he served as Vice President Logistics and Product Management. Jim greatly expanded the firm within the logistics market by developing a comprehensive corporate product strategy and capturing key customers, which led to a $5M investment from key venture firms and individual investors. He expanded the company’s market reach with an international trade logistics product roadmap and by moving the product from client/server to a web-based model.

Jim is skilled in product and market planning having implemented programs at Manugistics (since acquired by JDA) as Business Manager that extended the transportation-planning footprint to full transportation management as well as European markets.

He was a principal in the design and development of the first distributed SaaS (Software as a Service) In Transit Visibility Solution for the United States domestic transportation market.

Jim has worked with several start-ups in the transportation and logistics space and has been successful working with venture capital investors to raise money.

Jim is a former member of the American National Standards Institute X12 and United Nations/Electronic Data Interchange For Administration, Commerce, and Transport EDI committees, where he held various positions and responsibilities. Jim graduated with a B.S., Mathematical Sciences from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.
